Responsibilities

Plan, design, and oversee rooftop solar installation projects across residential, commercial, and industrial premises
Conduct site assessments, shadow analysis, and feasibility studies for solar installations
Prepare detailed project proposals, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and technical layouts using AutoCAD or similar tools
Guide and supervise installation teams to ensure quality, safety, and timeline adherence
Handle end-to-end net metering process — application, documentation, inspection coordination, and DISCOM approvals
Assist customers in availing government subsidies — PM Surya Ghar, MNRE, and state-level schemes
Recommend suitable solar panel brands, inverter brands, and mounting structures based on site requirements and budget
Liaise with DISCOMs, government bodies, and utility providers for approvals and grid connectivity
Prepare and submit accurate technical and commercial proposals to clients
Maintain strong client communication via email, calls, and on-site meetings
Coordinate with procurement teams for timely material sourcing and vendor management
Ensure compliance with MNRE guidelines, CEA regulations, and local electrical standards
Provide post-installation support, system monitoring, and AMC services
Train and mentor junior engineers and installation technicians

4–8 years of hands-on experience in rooftop solar installation and project execution
Strong knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial solar systems (1 kW to 1 MW+)
In-depth understanding of net metering process and DISCOM coordination
Thorough knowledge of government subsidy schemes — PM Surya Ghar, MNRE, state nodal agency processes
Expertise in leading solar panel brands — Adani, Waaree, Vikram, Longi, Jinko, Canadian Solar
Strong knowledge of inverter brands — Sungrow, ABB, Havells, Growatt, SMA, Sofar
Familiarity with mounting structures — GI, Aluminum, ballasted, and elevated structures
Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams (SLD), layout drawings, and electrical schematics
Knowledge of AutoCAD, PVsyst, or Helioscope for system design and energy yield estimation
Understanding of CEA regulations, net metering policies, and electrical safety standards
Excellent communication skills — client-facing, verbal, and written
Strong email writing skills for client proposals, follow-ups, and official correspondence
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy Engineering
